Remote Emergency Care - Level 3
This intensive weekend course (or one-day extension to the Level 2 course) trains participants in additional skills, including the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).
This course is recognised by the Mountaineering Ireland, Canoeing Ireland, and other outdoor governing bodies. On this course the focus is on dealing with incidents far from medical help with the minimal equipment you would carry while participating in or leading outdoor activities.
The emphasis is on practical skills with plenty of hands-on practice including lots of outdoor scenarios. This course can be tailored to the requirements of special interest groups, for example climbers, mountain leaders, paddlesports instructors or divemasters.
No previous experience required. This course requires a minimum of 6 participants.
